Three Natural Acne Treatment Options

by admin on March 23, 2012

Acne sufferers are likely to have spent hundreds buying up products that promise to rid their skin of acne. OTC and prescription medication are often used. More recently, the “natural trend” has become a popular way of treating all kinds of health issues – natural acnetreatment.

Most natural acne treatments have been around longer than traditional treatments. All you have to do is ask around and you’ll hear several recipes for acne home remedies. And, despite what you may think, a lot of these recipes are actually quite effective in treating acne.

Most natural acne treatments are safe and may be ingested or applied topically. These products include ingredients such as herbs or plants. Here is a quick review of three of the most effective natural acne treatments.

Hydration and Acne Diet

Modifying your diet to incorporate Vitamin C, Vitamin A and essential fatty acid sources is a good way to deal with acne.

Drinking plenty of water is also an effective way of helping reduce the appearance of acne in the skin. It helps hydrate your tissues and eliminate wastes either through perspiration or urine. Both hydration and proper dieting are good for your health and for your acne skin care.

Using Salicylic Acid or Acetylsalicylic Acid as Acne Medication

Salicylic Acid has been an important ingredient in many acne products. It opens clogged pores, causes the skin cells to shed more easily, and neutralizes bacteria. In certain concentrations it has also been known to help reduce hyperpigmentation.

An inexpensive acne treatment alternative to more high end products that contain salicylic acid is aspirin. But, be warned. Products containing this ingredient usually contain higher concentration levels which also make it more effective than simple aspirin tablets.

If you prefer using aspirin, then you can use it as an exfoliant or in a mask. To make it into a mask, simply dissolve 3 or 4 adult aspirins with a tablespoon of water and make a paste. Once the paste is ready to be used, simply apply it all over your face or to the affected area.

If you prefer the aspirin mask to be thicker, you can also add yogurt or honey to give it a thicker consistency. If you are allergic to aspirin, do not use this type of mask as it can cause irritation.

Tea Tree Oil

This oil has been used extensively in Australia to treat dandruff and Candidiasis (or thrush). It is a potent antiseptic that can be used to help treat acne. Its results are comparable to benzoyl peroxide but take longer to present themselves.

Tea tree oil can be used on your skin. However, you should first dilute it before applying because if not, it may cause irritation. You may also need to use a moisturizer to counteract the dryness brought on by this product.

BIOSKINCLEAR and BIOSKINFORTE are both natural acne treatment products that help to prevent acne.. These natural products are not the latest cures for acne but they are definitely a safe and effective way to treat your acne problems naturally.

Determining which treatment is best for reducing acne scars can be a headache. Natural solutions regularly appear cheap, quick, and easy to administer, while chemical treatments regularly appear expensive and complex. Here are some top tips to help you decide which form of treatment is right for you.

TIP #1: SUPERFICIAL CHEMICAL PEELS

For individuals whose acne scarring is not too deep or prominent superficial chemical peels may be of assistance. Such peels often contain a mix of alpha hydroxy acids such as those found in fruit, and glycolic acids which can be found in sugar cane.

TIP #2: DEEP CHEMICAL PEELS

For more serious cases of acne scarring, some may wish to look towards deep chemical peels. These commonly consist of a combination of beta hydroxy acids that are oil soluble, and trichloroacetic acids that penetrate deeper into the skin.

In either case treatments require a series of chemical peeling sessions whereby acid is painted onto the skin, burning the top layers. After a period of over a week or so the burnt skin breaks off allowing for the re-growth of new skin. Chemical peels also require the application of prescribed creams for preparing the skin for the peel and for ongoing maintenance, which can last months.

With all such treatments one must be aware of the side effects, which are greatly amplifiedthe deeper the chemical peel. These include:

- The flaring of acne or cold sores – An inflammation of the tissue around the mouth (peri-oral dermatitis) – Peeled skin may also inflame resulting in unsightly scarring – Increased pigmentation such as transient spots of hyper or hypopigmentation – Complete avoidance of direct UV rays – Lengthy recovery and maintenance procedures – All of which may last for months

TIP #3: ROSE HIP OIL

Rose Hip Oil is the natural form an anti-acne ingredient Retinol and is far more friendly than chemical treatments. It’s favored position revolves on its ability to absorb into the body, due to its compatibility with skin cell structure. The oil works on the skin by increasing its elasticity and flattening out scarring, while improving the color of acne scars and surrounding skin.

TIP #4: NATURAL ACNE TREATMENT CREAM AND EXFOLIATE

One of the most effective treatment methods of involves the use of a natural microdermabrasion and a acne treatment cream that includes Helix Aspersa Muller GlycoConjugates, a biological compound found inside the cells of snails.

The natural microdermabrasion skims away at the surface of the skin, progressively reducing scar tissue in a much more subtle means than chemical treatments. In conjunction, the Helix Aspersa Muller GlycoConjugates speeds up the regeneration process by replacing the scar collagen with a mixture of skin cells and invisible collagen fibers.

Bioskinexfol is a perfect example of such a natural acne scars treatment cream and exfoliate. Its effectiveness lies in its mixture of 100% natural ingredients that are completely side-effect free, making it a much safer treatment for scars than chemical peels. The results Bioskinexfol produces renders all other acne scars treatment obsolete.
